In windows you can try free software called ImgBurn. It very likely does, but not because CD-RW is better than CDR, rather because using a CD-RW forced you to burn at a slow speed. The install docs don't talk about installing from floppies ... Re: isolinux: Disk error 80, AX... http://applecountry.net/disk-error/disk-error-or-no-system-disk.php
I will download again and try. Sorry. Right at the very end of the burn process I got an error message, don't remember what it said, but basically it said the burn failed, and the CD-r's were junk. You will find out that it takes a little bit more about making mpeg2 dvd compliant (something about padding?) DistroUbuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon Re: can't install hardy defected download. that should settle it fairly well if the burn was good or not, atleast if you can get to a bootprompt.
