It's working fine now. Waiting and waiting and thats it, blank screen from then on- nothing. Until I noticed that this happened every time there was an external drive plugged in and the system would automatically hibernate, on resuming the message came up. I'm guessing that I just have to get another hard drive or find a way to wipe this one clean. It will find errors related to partition, boot sector, file system etc and suggests repairing ways.If automated option is chosen then rest you back on chair and relax. So I rebooted the computer and tried to switch back to Windows only to find out I cannot boot!! I hope this helps.

I made sure to partition the hard drive upon installation of XP Home. It is 28bit LBA vs. 48bit LBA.If you re-installed WinXP using original WinXP (no service packs) then the partition would be between 127 to 137 GB. Eventually data is lost or the partition becomes corrupted.Your solution is to slipstream SP3 into the WinXP files on your CD. Sorry it took me so long to follow up been really busy with my 2 month old baby and everything.
